Zenless Zone Zero, the urban fantasy action RPG (role-playing game) from HoYoverse, is set to release its Version 1.6 update, titled "Among the Forgotten Ruins," on March 12, 2025. This update brings exciting new content to the game, including new playable characters, challenging bosses, enhanced difficulty levels, and a deeper dive into the game's narrative.
New Playable Characters
Version 1.6 introduces three new agents and several reruns of familiar characters, each with unique abilities and combat styles:
Phase 1:
Soldier 0- Anby (New)
Phase: S-Rank Electric Attack
Affiliation: Leader of the Silver Squad
Weapon: Dual Swords
Key Abilities:
- Electric Edge: Deals increasing Electric damage to a single target with successive hits.
- Aftershock: Triggers an area-of-effect (AoE) electric damage when Anby hits a target.
- Storm Slash: A charged attack that deals large Electric damage to enemies in a wide area.
- Silver Shield: Grants a temporary defense boost to all allies after a successful attack.
Strengths:
- High damage output for both single-target and AoE Electric damage.
- Enhances team synergy, particularly with Aftershock boosting critical damage.
- Agile and fast, excelling in quick attacks, evasion, and repositioning.
Pulchra (New)
Phase: A-Rank Physical Stun
Affiliation: Mercenary Guild
Weapon: Hammer
Key Abilities:
- Crushing Blow: Deals massive physical damage with a chance to stun.
- Staggering Impact: Knocks back enemies and reduces their defense.
- Battle Roar: Boosts Pulchra's physical attack and increases nearby allies' damage.
- Unyielding Stance: Temporarily increases defense and grants resistance to crowd control.
Strengths:
- Strong tank and damage dealer, perfect for frontline battles.
- Stunning ability with Crushing Blow for high follow-up damage.
- Team buffs with Battle Roar and exceptional durability with Unyielding Stance.
Burnice White (Rerun)
Phase: S-Rank Fire Anomaly
Affiliation: Snowstorm Squad
Weapon: Ice Staff
Key Abilities:
- Frozen Lance: Deals Ice damage and freezes enemies briefly.
- Blizzard Wave: Unleashes an AoE Ice wave that slows enemies' movement and attack speed.

- Controls Ice damage while debuffing enemies with freezing effects.

Ben Bigger (Rerun)

Weapon: Flamethrower & Heavy Shield
Key Abilities:
- Inferno Barrage: A continuous stream of fire dealing sustained damage.
- Flame Guard: Deploys a protective barrier that absorbs damage, especially fire-based.
- Burning Rampage: Charges forward, igniting enemies and reducing their defense.
- Molten Fortress: Temporarily boosts fire resistance and creates an aura of fire that damages nearby enemies.
Strengths:
- Excels in tanking fire-based damage while dealing consistent fire damage over time.
- Team protection with Molten Fortress, providing fire resistance and reducing incoming fire damage.
- Solid offensive tank with good survivability.

- Controls enemies by disabling their abilities.
- Evasion and stealth with Cloak of Shadows, enabling repositioning and counterattacks.
Zhu Yuan (Rerun)
Phase: S-Rank Ether Attack
Affiliation: Lotus Order
Weapon: Twin Blades
Key Abilities:
- Twin Strike: Fast melee damage with twin blades.
- Lotus Dance: A spinning attack that damages and stuns nearby enemies.
- Emerald Shield: Boosts defense and grants immunity to debuffs.

Strengths:
- Excellent at debuffing enemies with burn effects to increase team damage.

Billy Kid (Rerun)
