Activision, in collaboration with ESL, has officially announced the launch of the COD Mobile World Championship 2024, featuring an impressive prize pool of $1,150,000. The competition, which will take place from April 18 through October 6, consists of five stages, culminating in the highly-anticipated World Finals set to electrify the CODM esports scene in Atlanta, North America.
Ahead of the Snapdragon COD Mobile Masters 2024, which starts on April 12 and boasts a $200,000 prize pool, this announcement has set the stage for an exciting season. The Masters event will feature the top eight international teams competing for the title.
Regional qualifiers are the first step toward the World Finals and will cover five major regions: North America, LATAM, Europe, India, and Japan. Teams from China and Southeast Asia will make their way to the finals through their own regional competitions.
The quest for victory begins with the Open Solo Qualifiers, from April 18 to May 8, where individual players will compete in ranked matches to earn points for qualification. Following this, the Open Team Qualifiers will take place from May 11 to 25, allowing players to form teams and compete for dominance.
The Snapdragon Mobile Open Finals in June and July will see the best teams from Stage 2 in a double-elimination tournament. The top teams will move on to the Challenge Season, which will be broadcast live on YouTube and consists of two intense rounds.
The pinnacle event, the World Championship Finals, will occur from October 4 to 6, where the world's elite teams will vie for the top prize. The format of the World Finals is yet to be revealed, but the excitement for the $1 million prize pool is as high as in the previous year's tournament.
In the last championship, the Chinese team Wolves emerged as the champions, followed closely by India's GodLike, who both delivered impressive performances in Atlanta.
With the gaming community abuzz with excitement, the CODM World Championship 2024 is set to be another thrilling event that brings together gamers from around the world in a showcase of skill and strategy.
