November's Top Mobile Game Downloads
Here are the globally most downloaded games since last month.
Listed below are the top 10, including the estimated download numbers for November and each game's month-on-month rise or fall in the rankings.
Key information of the charts in November:
Released in October, "Pokémon TCG Pocket," a new card mobile game, leveraged its powerful IP influence and viral spread to achieve 6,586,224 downloads, securing the top spot on the App Store download chart in November.
"Mini Games: Calm & Chill," a casual game released in August, claimed the top position on the Google Play download chart in October and maintained its lead in November with 18,151,391 downloads, holding onto the monthly download chart throne on Google Play.
-
Compared to October, November's App Store download chart saw the entry of four newcomers into the Top 10: "Pokémon TCG Pocket," "Honor of Kings," and "Whiteout Survival" (listed twice).
Among these, "Pokémon TCG Pocket" was the biggest winner, skyrocketing 77 places to claim the No. 1 spot on the download chart, while the other three are familiar mobile games that have frequently appeared in the Top 10.
For Google Play, November's download chart welcomed three newcomers into the Top 10: "Tik Tap Challenge," "Super Fighter 3: Open City," and "Bus Out."
"Tik Tap Challenge," released in mid-October, quickly amassed 15,323,543 downloads in just 40 days, making it the biggest winner on the Google Play chart for the month, securing the No. 2 spot.
The casual game "Bus Out," released in October, saw its ranking rise steadily following the rebranding of its ultra-casual/hybrid casual studio, Zego.
- In November, none of the 20 mobile games in the Top 10 download charts for both the App Store and Google Play performed well on both platforms simultaneously.
Top-download Mobile Game in November
The most downloaded games on the App Store and Google Play were
"Pokémon TCG Pocket" and "Mini Games: Calm & Chill."
"Pokémon TCG Pocket"-App Store
"Pokémon TCG Pocket," a new card mobile game released on October 30th, quickly soared to the top of the App Store game charts in most countries worldwide upon its release.
It maintained the No.1 position in several countries for consecutive days.
In just one month, it achieved a remarkable 6,586,224 downloads, securing the top spot on the App Store download chart.
Compared to other new mobile games released in November, it is this app's powerful global IP influence and viral spread that can be attributed to its rapid ascent to the top.

In November, the game's primary user base was in the United States and Japan, accounting for 27.6% and 15.49% of the users, respectively.
It's worth noting that, despite the download volume in Japan being second to the United States, Japanese players on the App Store spent significantly more, accounting for 52.95% of the revenue.
This figure is three times that of the second-place United States, highlighting the strong influence of the local IP in Japan.
"Mini Games: Calm & Chill"-Google Play
"Mini Games: Calm & Chill," released on August 7, 2024, is a collection of casual games that encompasses nearly all popular gameplay styles found in the market.
Following its success in October, the game continued to hold the top position on the Google Play download chart, achieving 18,151,391 downloads.
As we discussed last month, it is attributed to the TikTok trend where users play a chicken platformer game by clucking at their phones.
Although the game remains at the top of the Google Play monthly download chart, its downloads decreased by 12% compared to October.
According to
FoxData-Global Downloads, the game experienced continuous growth until October 13th, after which its download numbers began to fluctuate and show a downward trend.

The Biggest Gainers in the Top 10
In November, there were two biggest gainers in the Downloads Charts Top 10.
One was "Pokémon TCG Pocket," the top app in the Downloads Chart on the App Store, which moved up 77 spots in the rankings and has already been mentioned above.
The other was another newly released app on Google Play, "Tik Tap Challenge", which was just released on October 21, but skyrocketed to reach the Top 2 in download charts within 40 days.
Next, I'll focus on analyzing the "Tik Tap Challenge."
It's evident that "Mini Games: Calm & Chill" isn't the only one capturing TikTok's trending waves.
Although it launched a bit later, "Tik Tap Challenge" also achieved an impressive number of downloads by leveraging paid advertisements in the latter half of October and incorporating popular TikTok challenge content.
For the creative ads, "Tik Tap Challenge" adopted a strategy similar to that of "Mini Games: Calm & Relax."
By featuring real people in the ads, audience resistance was reduced.
Additionally, the inclusion of humorous elements made the creative content resonate well with the playful nature of short video platforms.
For example, in this creative case, players wearing face masks combined with exaggerated facial expressions naturally create a comedic effect.
"Tik Tap Challenge" drew inspiration from "Mini Games: Calm & Relax" not only in its advertising creative strategy but also in its ASO (App Store Optimization) strategy, which played a crucial role in its successful user acquisition.
According to a comparative analysis by
FoxData-ASO Report, it is evident that the game borrowed from "Mini Games: Calm & Relax" in terms of ASO, particularly in the optimization of its visual metadata.
As shown in the app icon below, it's clear that "Tik Tap Challenge" adopted similar elements and artistic styles as "Mini Games: Calm & Relax," incorporating features like chicks, waves, tree stumps, and prominent flags. The overall layout and style are nearly identical.
