In November, the U.S. presidential election wraps up, and some major apps launch new events.
Take the social media app "X" as an example. Influenced by the presidential election and Black Friday events, its revenue in November hit a record high.
Which other apps demonstrated significant trends in November?
Let's explore the notable growth trends of "X", "Disney+", "Hulu", and "Gemini" in November!
X
The revenue of X hit a record high in November, with earnings of $4,670,942 on the App Store and $2,204,328 on Google Play.
Compared to October, this represents a month-over-month increase of 19%.
Our
App Intelligence indicates that in November, the daily average revenue for the app was $
134,030.72 on the App Store and $54,681.44 on Google Play, both significantly surpassing historical averages for the same period.
Most importantly, according to App Intelligence, while the activities of the U.S. President undoubtedly had some impact on November's revenue, the peak daily earnings for both the App Store and Google Play occurred during the Black Friday period.
On the App Store, "X" experienced a remarkable increase in revenue starting on November 21, reaching a peak on December 2 with earnings of $324,740.
On Google Play, "X" saw a rocket-like surge in revenue starting on November 26.
This remarkable increase lasted for nearly 10 days, reaching a daily peak of $348,940 on December 6.
According to "
Competitor" feature, X conducted a Black Friday promotion this year, while most other leading social platforms did not.
Black Friday] X (formerly knows as Twitter) is offering 40% off annual Premium and Premium+ subscriptions in Black Friday 2024.
The remarkable upward trend on both the App Store and Google Play is clearly linked to X's Black Friday promotion.
Even after the promotion ended, the revenue did not experience a steep decline.

Disney+
On October 22, 2024, Disney announced that its streaming apps "Disney+" and "Hulu" on iOS would no longer support in-app subscriptions through the Apple App Store, challenging the 30% "Apple tax" on in-app purchases.
November marked the first full month without subscriptions via the App Store for "Disney+."
Did this challenge impact "Disney+"?
Absolutely! Before October, "Disney+" had been maintaining a positive growth trend.
However, there was a noticeable decline in revenue in October, which continued into November.
In November, "Disney+" experienced a historic low in revenue on the App Store, with earnings of $46,489,101.
It is evident that when they stopped accepting new subscribers through the App Store, the upward revenue trend for "Disney+" immediately halted and quickly shifted to a downward trajectory.

Hulu
Has 'Hulu: Stream TV shows & movies' also shown a downward trend in revenue on the App Store, similar to 'Disney+'?
According to
Global Revenue, the downward trend for "Hulu" is more pronounced compared to "Disney+".
Since October, when support for in-app subscriptions via the Apple App Store was discontinued, revenue began to decline sharply and did not stabilize through November.
In November, the steep decline continued, with revenue reaching only $
13,635,685, falling short of the monthly average income of $16,068,303.23.
As of December 16th, the downward trend still has not shown signs of stabilizing.
Gemini
"Google Gemini" was officially launched on the App Store on November 13th.
From its launch until the end of November, the app achieved 3,696,871 downloads on the App Store.
However, the user acquisition trend is not promising.
By late November, just over ten days after its launch, "Google Gemini" started showing signs of weakness, with user acquisition declining towards the average level.
According to
global downloads, the primary target audience for "Gemini" on the App Store is in the United States, India, Germany, Japan, and the United Kingdom.
The United States is the largest market, accounting for 24.29% of the downloads.
Compared to the leading competitor "ChatGPT," is this app able to match its user acquisition?
Based on our "App Intelligence" data, it currently seems unlikely that it will surpass "ChatGPT."
From the release of "Gemini" until the end of November, the app's daily average downloads were 204,799.
In comparison, "ChatGPT" had a daily average of 554,707, which is 2.7 times that of "Gemini."
