This crossover blends the gripping survival elements of Squid Game with the fast-paced action of Call of Duty, offering a unique experience for players across Warzone and Black Ops 6.

What to Expect

Treyarch has officially announced a Squid Game-themed event as part of the Season 1 Reloaded update for Black Ops 6 and Warzone. From the trailer, it’s clear that players can anticipate limited-time modes (LTMs) reimagining iconic games from the series, such as “Red Light, Green Light” and “Tug of War”. These modes promise to add a fresh, strategic twist to the classic Call of Duty gameplay.

Try your luck in the deadly games with Squid Game-themed LTMs across all three modes going live alongside the in-game Event featuring rewards, like the new “Front Man” Operator and the new Cleaver Melee Weapon. Plus, get into the competitive spirit with three Squid Game-themed Bundles arriving throughout the Event.

For Warzone fans, the event introduces a battle royale-inspired mode centered around survival and strategy. Players can also look forward to exclusive cosmetics, including operator skins inspired by the series’ pink guards, the enigmatic Front Man, and the participant uniforms.

Release Date and Time

The Call of Duty x Squid Game 2 event kicks off on January 3, 2025, at 10 a.m. Pacific Time (PT), giving players three weeks to dive into the action before it wraps up on January 24.

Dive into Squid Game-Themed Gameplay

The crossover brings several new game modes:

Red Light, Green Light (Multiplayer)

Players must follow the rules of Red Light, Green Light, with Young-hee watching. If you move during "Red Light," you're eliminated. Weapons become available in later rounds for melee and Finishing Moves.

There’s just one simple rule: When Young-hee says “Green Light,” the fight is on. Move a muscle after she says “Red Light” and you’re toast.

Pentathlon (Multiplayer)

Compete across multiple Multiplayer modes, including new ones like Piggy Bank Team Deathmatch and Roulette. A chance for higher rewards through strategic eliminations.

Squid Game Moshpit (Multiplayer)

The Squid Game Moshpit mode introduces three unique features for Operators:

• Red Light, Green Light Scorestreak: Activate "Red Light" to freeze enemy Operators in place, forcing them to stop or risk being eliminated.
• Piggy Bank: Eliminated Operators drop Piggy Banks that grant small score boosts when collected. Larger Mega Piggy Banks accumulate score with each elimination—fight to secure it for a bigger reward.
• Roulette Handgun: This high-risk weapon offers a permanent UAV effect and one-shot eliminations with double the score, helping Operators earn Scorestreaks faster. However, using it marks your location and could result in an explosive malfunction, taking you down with it.

Dead Light, Green Light (Zombies)

In Zombies mode, players face off in Green Light and Red Light phases, with Essence bonuses and penalties. The "Dead Light" phase adds tougher enemies.

A rotating series of challenges with Red Light, Green Light and squad eliminations, focusing on survival and competition.
